The Vice-Chancellor and Principal Professor Twana Kupe took some time off his busy schedule to share a special dinner with the Early Career Research Leader Fellowship (ECRLF) fellows. The dinner was attended by ten of the ECRLF fellows, the interim director of Future Africa Professor Bernard Slippers and the program coordinator Dr. Nokuthula Vilakazi took place on the 23rd of April 2019 at the Future Africa dining room. This was very special for the fellows as they each took time to share with the Vice-Chancellor who they are, what their experiences on
the program have been so far and what they aim to achieve from the program. The VC shared light moments on some of the experiences he has had traveling the different countries that the fellows represent. The VC ended by extending a special invitation to the fellows to join him at a joint launch, with the Human Sciences Research Council of South Africa, of the flagship new book in its State of the Nation series: Poverty and Inequality
