Mr Sukanto Tanoto, the Chairman of the Royal Golden Eagle (RGE) Group visited the Future Africa campus on 27 May. He was accompanied by Mr. Mark Werren, the Director of operations: Asia Pacific Resources International Holdings Limited (APRIL) (a unit of RGE) and two other representatives of RGE, Mr Isaac Tan and Mr Derek Sim.

The group was guided through the campus by the acting director of Future Africa, Prof Bernard Slippers, who highlighted the progress being made with this new facility that will be opening in the second half of 2018.

The group also visited FABI and the Hatfiled campus. This visit follows the establishment of a new research group within FABI, the RGE-FABI Tree Health Programme after the recent signing of a MoU between RGE and FABI in April 2018.
